Yeah. That's what I'm doing now. In the first part of 2006 I went through what I affectionately call my "hand shading revolution", which is what completely changed my drawing style from my old and inefficient draw/ink/color digitally to the one you see now, where I shade everything first before messing with digital coloring/shading. During this time, what really cause my drawing skill to improve was the creation of the Hundred Suns story and drawing those characters one after the other in rapid succession. The sheer volume of drawings caused a noticeable improvement which you can see in some cases in this gallery, particularly anything before vs after 2006.

Now I'm planning on trying that phenomenon again. I've already drawn 3 Hundred Suns characters as of this post and I plan on doing more in an attempt to give myself some serious practice again. This is especially good considering that I'm without a scanner now and so I've been forced to go 100% digital with all my drawings (the ones I want to post here anyway). Of course I'm not limiting myself to Hundred Suns characters, but I want to see how far this goes. Hopefully it goes on for a while before I fall off the wagon again. Heh.
